Woja: If we see culture as somebody's way of living according to their qualities, then bread for Poles is not only food or a symbol but a quality itself. Bringing a loaf of bread abroad we are not only directed by the taste but we want a piece of our motherland. This feeling will not occur so strongly with polish sausages, gallimaufry or ‘Pan Tadeusz’. The uniqueness of polish bread makes it a part of polishness – despite that the Italian ciabbata or the Ukrainian bread has a similar taste – the true fulfilment of the nostalgia can be achieved the easiest and the best by our bread. In this there is his strength, and that is why I can say that it is a quality itself, and I don’t need anybody to agree with me.
